I am thankful for Jesus, my church (@southlakebc), my family, my friends, our pastors and team and Southlake, Texas where I am privileged to minister. I am thankful that Jesus saved me at a young age, healed me of cancer and called me into the ministry. It is to Him I owe everything.
Many of us do not know how good we have it. Last thanksgiving I had just returned from two weeks in India... makes you extra thankful for what God has given us here. Maybe when you roll over in bed, snuggle in the covers and hit snooze, remember that some folks slept on the ground last night. Say thanks! When you hop in the shower and hot water hits you on the head-say thanks!! Many did not even have clean drinking water today. When you choose your thanksgiving outfit, most likely you don't have to choose the only one you own. Say thanks!! When you brush your teeth, comb your hair, dress yourself and you have the health and strength to do so-say thanks!! Many don't have that privilege. When you start your car, and program your device that gives you directions to get where you are going-say thanks!! Many don't have cars, nav systems, phones with internet or even a map for directions. When you stop by Starbucks, McDonalds, or wherever you stop to get your morning fix-say thanks!! Many even if they have those places, don't have the money to afford it. I could go on all day... As you eat the bounty that will be set before you tomorrow take some extra time and be thankful for all those things we take for granted.
Psalm 136:1 says it so simply "O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good..."
